Whats that? Another mug!! It sure is...Emila the Genie Buddy said that she'd make me a mug sometime back and now she has!! It's a really wonderful mug that has the masthead of my blog painted on it! Spoof...err I mean Spiff the Spaceman...the intergalactic oddball hero who is currently residing in downtown Balaipolis tagged me with this one ages ago. I just found the time to do it so I must apologize to the Spaceboy before he turns me into a pile of smoking dust with his laser ray or whatever it is that shoot out of his posterior! hehe Sorry my desktop is pretty empty but it's new so sue me! You woke up in an alley robbed of all your clothing and stuff. Yes you're absoluely naked and famished. But the thief had a sliver of conscience and left a tiny bit of money for you. You enter the only shop you see and you found that your money can only buy you one of the following...

Which would you buy? My Answer is I'd buy the 3 Krispy Kreme donuts...I'd eat the first one and place the others over the areas that need covering up! TaDa!! hehe What would you do?

My Question is: On a dark stormy night you're driving alone on a narrow back road. You actually took a wrong turn and don't really know where you are and there are no familiar landmarks and neither are there any buildings. Suddenly you have a flat tyre....what would you do?
1) Stay in the car until daybreak
2) Get out in the rain and try to change the tyre
3) Walk to the nearest place to ask for help

What is BlogDay?

Do you know what is BlogDay? I didn't!
BlogDay was created with the belief that bloggers should have one day dedicated to getting to know other bloggers from other countries and areas of interest. 1. What were you doing ten years ago? I went to the USA for the first time! We practically went from coast to coast. Landed in Washington D.C. then stayed in Virginia with some friends, then went back to DC for some business, then went to Portland for a few days, went up to Mount Hood and it was saw snow for the first time! After that went to California. Stayed in Orange county with some friends and went to Disneyland and Universal studios! Took a tour to Tijuana and agfter that went to San Diego Sea World. Then went to the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas. Rememmber it like it was yesterday because it was our best holiday ever.

2. What were you doing 1 year ago? Arranging for my daughters first birthday party. The theme was Pooh Bear but unfortunately couldn't find a Pooh bear character to come over so we got the A&W bear instead LOL! Had a Pinata too the string pulling kind, not the kind you whack of course! Had games and gifts for adults and kids and tried to make everyone happy!

3. What are five snacks you enjoy? Peanuts, Potato Chips, Muruku (crispy crunchy lentil snack - err it tastes better than it sounds), Sour Kana (hmm...something like pickled fruit), Keropok (fish crakers)

4. What are five songs you know the lyrics to? Oh my goodness...I'm lousy with lyrics and can only remember certain lyrics! Besides all my CD's are Christmas CD's (about 50 of them - ask my buddy if you don't believe me) Apart from that only have a Bread CD and a Eagles CD.

5. Five Things You Would Do If You Were A Millionaire: A million is not much...probably buy a bigger house and then share some with my family and good friends! Take wife and daughter to Europe and then to Disneyland and take the Disney Cruise...hear it's fantastic! If got left over want to go to Alaska too! Won't save a cent!

6. Five Bad Habits: Lazy, interrupt when people talk, watch too much tv, eat too much, never keep in touch with old friends.

Schmoozalicious Baby!

DOH! What can I say - this is my first award and I am absolutely thrilled by it! I'd like to thank my good friend and mentor Marzie for giving me this boost of blogging confidence! When I started here I was absolutely lost and I found a friend who was both patient and kind in Marzie. She patiently helped me beef up my blog to something readable! I really don't know how she finds the time but she does and I've truly grateful to her for that! Okay enough sucking up! ; ) LOL

As it goes, schmoozing is the natural ability “to converse casually, especially in order to gain an advantage or make a social connection.” Good schmoozers effortlessly weave their way in and out of the blogosphere, leaving friendly trails and smiles, happily making new friends along the way. They don’t limit their visits to only the rich and successful, but spend some time to say hello to new blogs as well. They are the ones who engage others in meaningful conversations, refusing to let it end at a mere hello - all the while fostering a sense of closeness and friendship. So how in the world I got this award I will never know LOL but I've thought of five great people who have made me welcome and schmoozed their way into my blog and life that I'd like to give this most prestigious Power of Schmooze Award!

I've been tagged by the Magnificent Marzie again! :) This time it's Seven Random Facts About Me! I believe I still owe her for the Eight Random Facts About Me so I'd better respond to this LOL Anyway it's not that hard to do so here goes:


There are four simple rules

7 Random Facts About Me

• I hate watching horror movies and when I do I tend to talk a lot for some strange reason.
  
• I can't ride a bicycle without falling off.
  
• I am afraid of roaches (and all other flying insects for that matter) and the names I call them can't be published! It's due to a childhood incident that left me with a phobia of sorts!
  
• I used to occasionally speak in Burp, which is a hard language to master! LOL EEeerrr...Ladies, it's a guy thing!
  
• I can't stand the smell of fish but I love fishing, although it's been ages since I last did! Go figure!
  
• I love to be sarcastic but I don't mean any harm! It's just the way I think! and finally
  
• I love to cook but I hate to follow recipes. This usually leads to food never tasting the same! LOL

Now Showing: Attack of the Viral Icons!

I errr "borrowed" this from Marzie and these icon based viral links seem pretty cool. The thinking blog stated that visual links were more their style simply because they are visual.

The idea is simple (or so they say) and is just like the previous viral attacks but instead it is done with favicons (a picture paints a thousand words). When an ALT tag is used to describe your image with an alternative text, this can help to improve your page relevance. In other words, if ALT attribute contains keywords that are specific to your page's topic, it will help your keyword density.

Moreover, when optimizing a site/web page for Google, remember that this attribute is taken into great consideration by Googlebot when spidering and indexing your pages. Thus, the ALT tag of an hyperlinked image tag has the same importance of a text link.

5) Invite your readers to do the same and soon this can grow virally.
