Rockin' Getaway

Woo hoo I'm so glad that we went fot the vacation. The body may be tired but the mind is refreshed. What is it with holidays that it somehow drains the body so. Mind you we were mostly lazing around the pool and only went on a tour on one of the days. Anyway I'll just let the pictures do the talking!

On the contrary bud...it was one hot hot hot holiday! The weather was hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk. FOrtunately the pool was so big...I mean it was huge....I mean really really really big...that you could find a shaded spot almost anywhere. Best part about the pool was the sand island in the middle which was the place we hung out the most. The water was warm the whole day and night too...but it was 100% fun and we enjoyed every minute of it! :)

Yup it was Bali...not somewhere Christmassy...althoguh we did think of Hong Kong Disneyland. having said that I did manage to find a whole bunch of Santa's to add to my collection...but that story is for my next post LOL

We really did have a good time and great fun...planning to go back again soon. As Craig put it "this is the best holiday ever". LOL

We didn't have trouble keeping them apart except on the island tour to the volcano in Kintamani and around. It was 10 hours of sitting int he same car so you can imagine the mayhem LOL

The pictures are so clear because of the bright sun most of the time. Bali is an amazing place. There are some parts that are too toursity but some parts are really fascinating. Enjoyed lazing by the pool mostly and only went for one tour...didn't even have time for a massage. It's hard when you have kids in tow to do shopping and sightseeing. All they want was the pool and to tell you the truth so did we...it was so much fun. We even ate by the pool most of the time. There was a poolside BBQ on our first night and the food was scrummy! They also have a pizza oven by the pool side so its easy to order a quick meal whenever hungry. Another nice thing were the cabanas by the pool. Nice place to hang out but because our room was pretty close by we didn't need to rent one. All in all bali is a great holiday destination!

GP! You really should go! There are a lot of interestign things to do and places to see. Plan your trip well. Shopping also got! Loads of shopping if you want...of course no minature perfumes LOL We went to this nice little cafe in Ubud called coffee and silver...because they sold coffee and silver. The decor was quaint and the layout unique. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. They had a performance later in the night but we didn't stay that long as we had to continue on our journey. The rice fields of Tanggalung were a sight...althogugh I was a little disappointed with the Volcano...expected to be closer. ANother place that is nice is Tanjong Benoa which is away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta. Nusa Dua is also a very nice area. It's one island with a lot to offer for all types of tastebuds. Check it out! Gee I wonder if I can get commission as a tour promoter LOL

Hahaha...yeah I kept the location a secret although I did tell him I was going...add a little mystery mah...besides I was thinking of having a giveaway but becaues I didn't do much shopping didn't have anything to give LOL I really love Bali and we're planning on going again...I must say that staying at the Hard Rock Hotel was a good idea because it had a great pool to keep the kids entertained. It was easily accessible to get to shopping places altogu we didn't get much chance to do that and food was also good at the hotel and around the area. I recommend the hotel and we're looking to book there again in January. At the same time I also like the private villas unfortunately they will not have a pool as nice as the one at HRB. :)
