Taking Time Off in Sunny Singapore

Last week we went to Singapore for a short family vacation. Singapore you ask...for a vacation! Well at first thats what we thought too but we decided to risk it. We were booked for Sentosa Island and it was years since i'd last been there. When we got at the Siloso Beach Resort our first impression was the hotel lobby...it was not impressive at all and we thought for a moment that we had blundered.

We had to walk down a long winding wooden pathway to our room too towing luggage and baby along without help. The the pass key wouldn't open our room door an dthat took a few minutes to get sorted out. However once we got into the room we understood the concept. It was a resort facing the sea which was built around the trees and greenery.

We had the greatest time at Sentosa. I'd recommend the place to anyone. The beach was clean and fresh. There were loads of women in bikinis helped by the fact that they the FIVB volleyball tournament was ongoing. The nightlife was great - opposite the hotel was Cafe del Mar where there was even a bed in the nightclub - cool. There was lots to do even for my little one like the sound, light, laser show and petting the pink dolphin at dolphin lagoon. Plus a host of other things we didn't ahve time to do. Never even ventured to Orchard Rd. cause there was so much to do. Besides the place is just so clean! We had such a great time that we wanna go back there in December!
Since a picture paints a thousand words I've inserted loads of pictures to do just that!

Hi Janice, Yup! You can even swim with the dolphins, of course everything comes with a small price! We enjoyed the Sounds of the Sea too, it was spectacular! We are planning to visit our little neighbour again in December to see the Christmas Lights and spend time at Sentosa again! :)

Hi Marzie! You should see her in person because she's a real cheeky clown that won't sit down! Always up to something or other! Would you believe we took 250 pictures? :)
